Josie Dunne grew up in La Grange, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago with a huge Irish Catholic family of 35 incredibly close cousins, aunts and uncles. Part of what defines Josie is her three siblings - who all use the palette of the arts to express themselves. There's her sister Maisy, a dancer, her older brother Everett, a painter, and her youngest brother Beecher, an actor and graphic designer.

Josie spent most of her days throughout high school teaching music lessons to kids around town, playing over 300 shows in the Chicagoland area, songwriting, and remaining heavily involved in Lyons Township High school as a class president, while graduating with a 4.8 GPA.

Growing up with influences such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Amy Winehouse, Dunne has adapted a truly unique style in her music. Josie's beyond-her-years, soulful voice shines over her cleverly crafted, catchy songs. With beats that make you dance and lyrics that make you feel, Josie Dunne's music works to blend Pop and RnB Soul/MoTown.

In October of 2014, Josie signed a recording contract with Warner Music Group and signed as a songwriter with Warner/Chappell Publishing. Since then, she has been writing with many of the biggest and most prolific songwriters in the country. Now, Josie lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where she writes, sings, and performs shows at a variety of the coolest and most well known venues in town every day. While playing guitar, piano, trumpet, and singing, Josie Dunne enchants the audience, keeping them dancing and singing along to each tune.
